Your Smashing Fashion Fix
5 things you must check out to get your fashion fix today!
#1. WOW! This is a gorgeous hat by the one and only Smashing Darling Designer
Anne De Pasquale
BROWN VELOUR BLOCKED HAT WITH CUT OUT DETAILING- FEDORA CROWN, MEDIUM BRIM
FEATURED BY CAROL ALT ON “GOOD DAY NEW YORK”
Vary cool and Vary, Vary niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice!
Our hats are off to Anne for this fabulous hat!
#2. Check out Cynthia Rowley on style.com for spring 2008. She channeled her inner Yves. She went for French version of the 70’s for this spring collectionAlthough I couldn’t help but notice that I think I saw a bit of Halston in there too. I don’t think that 70’s fashion would have existed without him. A couple of pieces looked just a little too 80’s, as if she were predicting what was coming based on what she already lived through!
#3. If you were a brand of jeans which one would you be? Curious? Just pop on over to Glam.com to take the test, but you have to report back here. Leave me a comment on what you would be. I’m dying to know, so is everyone else. So go and don’t leave me hangin’!
#4. You forgot one on the summer reading list! In the Know: The Classic Guide to Being Cultured and Cool by Nancy Macdonell. This little tidbit I picked up from the JCReport. Love the JCReport. Now click on over to your favorite book store and buy it! I’ll need a report on my desk by 5:00. Kisses. And go buy that hat from Anne De Pasquale, it doesn’t get any cooler than that! That I know without reading the book.
#5. Just in case you are wondering where we (the two darlings that started it all) will be on Wed. Sept. 12th at 4:00 p.m. We will be watching Smashing Darling designer Laura Dawson’s fashion show.
So excited and can’t wait! Send Laura a comment and wish her good luck. I promise I will pass them along. Go read the interview we did with the lovely Ms. Dawson here. Shop her beautiful clothing online here. I’m sure seating is limited, so unless you actually got this invite, sorry we WON’T see you there!
That’s your smashing fashion fix for the day.

Trish,
Since jeans are the best thing since sliced bread, I took #3 and went on over to glam.com to take the jean test and it came back:
You’re Sass & Bide jeans!
A creative chick with an appetite for offbeat life and style, you also have an independent streak that’s true-bluer than your compatible jeans. With a flair for funky, you confidently stride through life …
So, there you have it, sass and bide hmmmm!!!!
