So glad to see the trend for hats continuing for next season. When Julie and I had popped down to the city for Laura Dawson’s fashion show there was no mistaking the street fashion trend for the smaller stylized fedoras. They were everywhere, on men and women. Solids, stripes, dark, light. You name it. It took me a minute to figure out where I had seen this trend before and in what decade. It finally came to me. It was in the late 1980’s or the early 90’s. A Madonna video she did that had a young boy in it… Open Your Heart. This very cool trend will be evolving for the spring into a more modern version, the bucket hat.
