We want to say congratulations to the 2009 winners of the Ecco Domani Fashion Foundation Award. We know how hard it is to make it in this business. This is a great opportunity Ecco Domani is providing to emerging fashion designers every year. Each winner will receive $25,000 to use towards showing their collection during this years NY Fashion Week.

The winners are, in the women’s design category, Carly Cushnie and Michelle Ochs of Cushnie et Ochs, Lyn Devon, Matthew Ames and Alexa Adams and Flora Gill of Ohne Titel. Corpus, designed by Jerrod Cornish and Keith Richardson won in the men’s design category. Monique Pean’s global-inspired sustainable jewelry won in the accessories category, and a new award for sustainable design was awarded to Bodkin Brooklyn, designed by Samantha Pleet and Eviana Hartman, the founding columnist of The Washington Post’s EcoWise column and former fashion features editor at Nylon.

Ecco Domani means “here’s tomorrow,” and we look toward the future for both our wines and the world around us. In support of innovation in the fashion industry, the Ecco Domani Fashion Foundation (EDFF) is dedicated to supporting the careers of aspiring fashion designers. Each year, the EDFF awards a $25,000 grant to seven fashion designers to present a runway show at New York Fashion Week. These designers represent the future of fashion. – Ecco Domani Fashion Foundation
