What if independent fashion professionals of all realms, from stylists to designers to photographers, had a beautiful, energizing and super-convenient location to grow their ideas, share their knowledge and create new connections? That is the hope for the new event space/photo studio/showroom, The Arsenal, that by providing fellow creatives this space at a truly affordable price, it can turn into an opportunity to really support and inspire each other.
The first event will be the Grand Opening & Fundraiser next Wednesday, July 1st, 2009, featuring an affordable silent auction of fine art and photography by over 25 independent artists. PBR, Brooklyn Royalty and the North Brooklyn Public Art Coalition are sponsoring, the Endless Summer Taco Truck will be doling out yummy treats, Shear Genius Season 2 alum Nicole Obert will be offering haircuts by donation, and indie rock sensation Jeff Taylor will be performing after the auction ends at 10:30pm. All the deets are below, no need to RSVP….and feel free to pass this along to friends, art collectors, press and anyone else who might be interested in helping support the cause!
