A bright and modern cuff,this pattern was inspired by a pattern from one of the quilts of Gee’s Bend, Alabama. The cuff is handwoven of single drop peyote stitch, finished with Czech fire polished beads, and sewn onto a gold vermeil slide clasp. Cuff measures 6.5″ long x 1 1/2″ wide. Amber Leilani melds the ancient art of bead weaving with a modern aesthetic. Putting the focus on pattern and keeping the lines clean and contemporary give each piece a bold, unique look. I design and handcraft each piece in my New Orleans studio, weaving each tiny bead one at a time. I also produce lines of vintage glass, vintage sequin, and gemstone jewelry which are modern and wearable. Each design is bold in color and pattern. No two pieces are ever alike and many are truly one of a kind.
