Wow. So pretty. This is a great reason to get to Brooklyn to visit TRUNK. Trunk is hosting a two day Meet The Maker with jewelry designer Lauren Wimmer. Check out the amazing sale the designer is having on Smashing Darling.

Each piece has its own intrinsic texture created by the juxtaposition of faceted, smooth and oddly shaped beads that mix color, weight and light refraction. Her “Cluster” collection features prominently fresh water pearls and rock crystal clusters accented with semi precious stones, sterling silver, 14-karat gold, bone, wood, horn and glass in unusual and variant colors and shapes. The “Ribbon” collection features hand-dyed silk ribbon wrapped around hollow tube rings to form bibs, chains and convertible pieces.

New year, new fashion weeks popping up all over. We were happy to learn about Dallas Fashion Week from one of our darling designers, Brandi Russel of Sacred Heart Collections. The festivities began yesterday, Jan.16 and go through Jan. 22. Brandi will be unveiling her collection Thursday, Jan. 19, 2012. As always wish we had at least a dozen or so of ourselves so we could see every one of our designers on the runway. We are with you in spirit Brandi!

An eclectic, wearable art runway show, a live and silent auction, and a gallery-style marketplace (where contributing local artists sell and showcase their work), will showcase how we “fashion” our lives while lessening waste.REALMS arts education inspires students to share content knowledge through artistic expression that synthesizes experiences and educates others about our world.

Exhibit Ambush is the first event of its kind in San Diego, bringing together emerging fashion designers and artists (visual and performance) from San Diego and cities across the country who are pushing artistic boundaries. The event is designed to inspire – to spark the artistic creativity that abounds in San Diego, and for attendees to interact with and support the unique visions of the designers and artists at the cutting edge.

All art and fashion pieces will also be available for purchase that evening.

**TICKETS ARE ON SALE NOW** at www.wantickets.com/exhibit ambush. General admission is $29 and VIP access is $100. VIP access includes preferred seating at the fashion show, open bar and appetizers in the VIP lounge and an exclusive giveaway bag.

Twenty percent of the proceeds from Exhibit Ambush will go to The Amazon Foundation, a non-profit organization founded in 2009 to acquire and preserve large tracts of the Amazon rainforest in their natural state in order to maintain ecological function, biodiversity and climatologic function.
