**All pre-order purchases of the dress will get an automatic 10% off the regular sale price, and will receive an additional 10% online with the following promo code: DTD12AD. In addition, regular orders will be available online and in select stores in spring 2012.

Amanda Seales is featured in an exclusive DTD piece created by Gwen Beloti, a free flowing cocktail dress with sequin trimming and checkered strap back detail. The DTD dress is now available for purchase at Smashing Darling and select boutiques in NYC.  A portion of the proceeds will benefit two organizations near and dear to the creators’ hearts; Little Dresses for Africa and Adonai Partners. Both Gwen and Eboyné are passionate beyond measure about this collaboration and project. In keeping with the goal of DTD, these two women want to do their part in helping those in need. Their mission throughout the Design the Dream campaign is to bring awareness to their prospective charities. (Learn more here…)

Summer and Such
Mid-summer stretch Darlings! What’s happening? Getting ready for fall? Selling out at many a summer market?…all of the above? Don’t forget to send us your events (trishandjulie@smashingdarling.com) so we can help spread the word!  We love seeing the number of Darling designers click higher and higher, so take a look around and help us welcome the newcomers. Who knows maybe you’ll end up doing a bit of shopping yourself!

Speaking of which, we’re curious about how much time you and your customers have to be social, and how much time you all have to shop. Please take a quick moment and let us know your thoughts.

New Features
We definitely think it is important to take a break to relax and regroup every now and again. Now it’s easier to let your customers know you are away. Log into your Darling account and you’ll see a new tab where you can set your vacation mode when you decide to dissappear: easy-peasy!

Ready to clear out some inventory? Now shoppers can see the dollars they will save when shopping in the Sale tab of your boutique. Both the original price and the sale price will be listed. Go re-list your sale items for the new feature to kick in!

…and you told all your fans about the Frequent Shopper Program already, right? (wink, nudge.)

Seam’s Forte a Huge Success

by trish on October 30, 2009

We want to congratulate  Seam Collective with the huge success of their Forte Fashion Show. The event took place Oct. 21st at the Metropolitan Pavilion in NYC. The Fashion show featured the work of 4 emerging designers, Kenley Collins from Project Runway, Sheila Frank, Elizabeth Rynish, Marissa Erskine. The win, win of the night was half of the ticket price being donated to Gilda’s Club NYC, an organization for people living with cancer. We couldn’t be in attendence the night of the show but all the pictures and articles we have read make us pine for cloning. We may not be able to be everywhere at all times but we can shout out and say Rock On!
