Vert Couture Eco-Fashion Show 2011 Blogger Contest

Fashion bloggers, can you put your passion for eco-fashion into words? If you can, it just may get you a chance to win a glamorous night of fashion in the heart of Chicago. Conscious Living TV is celebrating the 3rd annual Vert Couture Fashion show by hosting a contest for bloggers.

Green living is good. It makes us smile, the earth breathes a tiny sigh of relief every time it feels an act of green living taking place. The sighs will get louder and longer with more and more people taking part. The trick to the contest even if you feel this way, can you actually put it into the correct descriptive words? Can convince a judge of this? Are you one of four winning bloggers that has what it takes to motivate at least one more person into an of kindness for our prescious eco-system here on earth?

FYI, have you heard about all of Chicago’s Green Roofs? The windy city has one of the largest in the United States. That is pretty awesome.

To enter, fashion bloggers should submit an original post on eco-fashion, the upcoming Vert Couture show or the importance of sustainable fashion. Contestants must submit their blog entries to tcassell@akofenapr.com. The email submission should include the following:

a.Legal Name

b. Name of blog

c.Link to blog entry

d.Phone number and/or cell number

e.Link to Twitter or Facebook page (optional).

The Contest will begin on Thursday October 13, 2011 and end on October 18, 2011 at 11:59 pm CST (”Contest period”). The Contest will be conducted exclusively online. One grand prize winner will be awarded one grand prize package which includes: two (2) VIP ticket to the Vert Couture eco-fashion show. Three runner-ups will win one (2) general admission ticket. All winners will have the chance to take behind the scene photos and will be featured in an upcoming Conscious Living TV episode. Winners will have the opportunity to interview at least one of the eight presenting eco-designers. Winners and their blogs will be featured on the Vert Couture site. Winners will also be photographed on the green carpet and have their name and blog announced at the show. Additionally, Winners will receive exclusive post-event content and photos for their blogs.

Call For Entries: 13th Annual Avant Guardian Portfolio

Sharing a post from Surface magazine. They have a call for entries for their 13th Annual Avant Guardian Portfolio. May the best photographer win!

Are you a hot shot? Celebrating its 13th year, Surface magazine’s Annual Avant Guardian Portfolio is a nationwide search to uncover the best new fashion and still-life photographers in the USA, work that demonstrates both distinctive artistic vision and cutting-edge commercial potential. Semi-finalists will be chosen from a panel of industry experts and published online on August 2nd.

They will then receive a photo shoot assignment that will be considered for publication in the 13th Annual Avant Guardian Issue and have access to the magazine’s professional resources (stylists, designer collections, studios) for their work. Eligible candidates should not have had an editorial published prior to submitting, and must be a resident of the United States.
