We are happy to see that MicroRevolt has full participation to commemorate the victims of the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire of 1911. We want to thank a darling gal up in Portland, Maine -Meagan Anderson- who knit an armband for the cause after she saw us shout it out on Facebook. We love it! In February and March, 2011, join the United College Employees of FIT and FIT in commemorating the hundredth anniversary of the Triangle fire and discussing the problems that still have not been resolved. Five panel discussions, all free and open to the general public, will look back on various aspects of work in the last century, discuss what has improved and what has not, and offer hope for change in the next hundred years. First of all, a big awesome shout out to indie designer Karelle Levy, KRELwear , for flying up to NY to show the DisGlo collection at the MTV SKINS party. ROCK ON.
Second of all, instead of flying back to warm Miami where the chance of snow is zero to none. Karelle has decided to stay for a week in NYC to share the collection with all her fans up here. The info to make an appointment is in the details above.

Nicki Minaj appeared on David Letterman last Thursday eve and we are so happy to see her decked out in independent fashion, KRELwear. This appearance coincided with the release of her new CD, Pink Friday, out on you guessed it, the day after this appearance. We had to share this with the community so everyone can join us in saying congratulations to designer, Karelle Levy, for dressing the female rapper that is causing quite are stir. Nicki is known to many as the Barbie to Lil Kim’s Queen Bee title in the world of rap. That beef aside, we are so happy for Karelle. ROCK ON darling!

Love, love, love the meshy sheer quality of this handmade knit by KRELwear. The fact that part of the knit glows in the dark … awesome. I can think of many fun places to where this little number. I think it would look amazing layered with other items for a more toned down, casual, street look too. Make sure to take a look at the rest of the KREL DiscGlow collection, just to make sure you’re not missing another piece that needs to be yours. All of the pieces are one of a kind and handmade, once they’re gone, they’re gone. Won’t that make you sad if you miss out. You don’t want to have your girlfriend come up to you and say, “Look what I got!” you know in that sing songy way that screams … “and you didn’t”. I’m just sayin’.
