A few weeks ago we let you know about the annual spring independent fashion show out in Portland OR: Open Season. Darling Lindsay Reif launched a new collection that evening and thanks to local bloggers we get to see it now. Read on about the evening, and see more images of the show, at the links below. We would love to hear what you think of the new collection from Reif, comment and let us know darlings. (Subliminal message: Shop Reif on Smashing Darling)

Madison Buyer Recaps Portland Fashion Week

Last week Madison Buyer got to check out the city of roses and roses are what we found. Portland Fashion Week always offers a good time and great insight into a new world of emerging designers.  We were one of the sponsors of PDX’s emerging designer show: Catapult.

Picture 2

Catapult… offers fantastic new designs that are on the cutting edge of the fashion world. There were four designers in the competition: Anar Couture, Ms Wood, Devonation, Nelli Milllard.  The city of Portland offered fabulous fashion, delicious food and all the culture we could take in for the week.  Between fashion week and checking out landmarks such as the Pearl shopping district, VooDoo doughnuts and Powell’s Books, we were very busy.

Picture 1

The venue, Vigor Industrial, provided an edgy and modern setting for the fashion; they took a warehouse in the middle of a dense industrial landscape and made is look ohh-so-chic.

The vibe created by the setting and clothing was awesome; the people were beautiful, and the music was loud. Everything you would expect at a major fashion show.

Chris Cone is the man behind the scenes at Portland fashion week.  To read more about Cone and Catapult, you should check them out at MadisonBuyer.com/blog.
