On February 29 the FEZ Ballroom will hold the 5th Annual Doom Town Fashion show. The Doom Town show is an exciting live rock and roll fashion show with an extra bonus! ERHART will be releasing spring ’08 for all the girls and boys in Portland. Doom Town provides a fitting venue for the release of spring ’08 as ERHART’s theme is ‘Good Girls’ who play with bad boys. Rock and roll is full of bad boys right?!
Chelsea Erhart, the founder of ERHART and a good girl, chose this theme after reflecting upon her company’s client base. ERHART has had the pleasure to work with many of the local print houses including Foyer and Antic. At Doom Town, ERHART will show pieces designed with the boys at these shops. Dresses put the basic tee shirt under the table as they give a feminine twist to Antic and Foyer’s distinct print and graphic styles. Antic is decidedly punk rock, Foyer is lifestyle with a private skate ramp, and ERHART is romantic and sweet, hence the theme ’Good Girls’ who play with bad boys.

ERHART approached ‘Good Girls’ as “girly with an edge;” something you could wear around your parents while catching the eye of one of those bad boyz. Seemingly innocent pieces transform into suggestive ensembles, especially the Ms G Jumper. Sweet romantic blouses become the Innocent Ceaser sexy short dresses with edgy hip hop screen print in all the right places. Even the basic Shorty girl tee leaves no imagination for the viewer while upholding its integrity.

Golden yellow, the trademark of ERHART, is carefully integrated into the line. It is found in a print in the ever popular full print hip hop style, revealing the ERHART crane in all its glory. The color is strung out through the rest of the line; the most innovate being lace found on the stirrup tights! “Yes, stirrups!” says Chelsea, “Our onesie long johns were a hit for winter, so we followed up with another funny thing from our childhoods!” These stirrups look hot over a pair of heels and are a great alternative to the Portland staple leggings.
Come to the Doom Town Fashion show February 29th at the Fez Ballroom to pay witness to this miraculous amalgamation of ‘Good Girls’ playing with bad boys posing as ERHART”S spring ’08 collection. It’s going to be awesome!
