Here at Smashing Darling we are always so happy to support and shout out the RISD Sales. We have quite a few designers within our pages who are RISD Alums. Their sales are a great way to meet the maker face to face. If you haven’t heard it is all about the local and handmade this holiday season. Sat is supposed to be a beautiful day. Get in your car and head to R.I. Just think … it will only be Dec. 3rd and you could quite possibly get ll your shopping done. How good would that feel!

If you are in or around Providence, RI this Saturday, RISD is having their Alumni and Student Sale. The sale is held on Benefit Street, between Waterman and Hopkins Streets and is free + open to the public, rain or shine. We know for a fact a few darling designers will be there. Pop by, there is always a new designer to discover.

The dress, below, was designed specifically for the Design the Dream philanthropic collaboration and is available for pre-order exclusively online here at Smashing Darling! The dress will also debut live in Gwen Beloti’s spring 2012 collection during New Jersey Fashion Week Oct 9th-13th.
