Black Cherries in cloisonne enamel set in fine and sterling silver on an 18" wheat chain
The enamel is made by drawing the cherries in fine silver wire, filling them with gold foil and firing. Then they get filled with subsequent layers of wet powdered enamel and fired up to 10 times. It is finished by hand grinding and polishing.
When the enamel is finished a setting is made in fine and sterling silver. The leaves, berries and bale are fused (no solder) using the technique of granulation.
