Caterpillar Earrings

I put these earrings together and stepped back to look at them, and couldn't get the image of a caterpillar out of my mind.
These are crafted from hand-forged sterling silver rounds, which have been hammered flat and fused together. I've given them a rough surface texture for a little more interest. The post backs are sterling silver.
These earrings measure about 3/4 inch (1.8 cm) from top to bottom. Because each pair is handmade, and because the components are individually created from metal that's melted, formed and hammered, there will be minor variations from pair to pair. Please allow at least one week for completion.
