Studs of vintage paper preserved under resin are affixed to stainless steel posts. These old maps of the coastline of the United States are from an early 1900s dictionary--the faded yellow and turquoise is so lovely!
Did you know that all steel contains recycled steel? What's more, all new steel products made from recycled steel can be recycled again at the end of their useful lives. That's why I choose to use stainless steel posts instead of sterling silver.
The earrings are 1/4" in diameter.
The third image shows this style of earring but with a different snippet of vintage paper.
