These little slipper-socks have been hand crocheted using a 75% superwash merino wool and 25% nylon blended yarn. They should be machine washed on delicate or hand washed and then dried flat for best results. Don't let the fact that these are a wool blend make you think they are scratchy though - these are very soft and comfortable - especially after that first wash.
This yarn was handpainted and that means there will be at most 3-4 pair of baby socks made from it - and each pair will be slightly different. You are truly getting one-of-a-kind when you purchase these!
These socks will definitely cause your baby to be noticed!! They are some of the most unique socks I've ever seen. Both the cuff and the toe are watermelon green, and the body of the socks is striped in white, pink and red - there are even little black seeds! (Please note that monitors display colors differently, so these may not look exactly the same as you see them on your computer!)
This pair has a 3-1/4" sole, which is just the right size for a newborn. They have some stretch and may fit up to about 2 months. My 5 week old grandson can wear this size sock with a bit of room for his little feet to grow. (If these are for your little one, please measure to be sure.) The socks also feature a short, 'bumpy' cuff - they remind me of tennis socks.
These have been made in a smoke-free and pet-free home.
