Desert Ride earrings

Inspired by my love of the Southwest US and those long, deserted two-lane highways, these earrings will bring a bit of that to you, too.
Made with fine silver wire, these crocheted clusters of Arizona turquoise sit atop a small piece of moonstone and polished horns that frame the face. These earrings are approximately 1.5" long, and almost weightless due to the materials. The ear wires are handmade of sterling silver.
The bone and horn I use is from the Philippines and is a by-product of a local food industry - my supply purchases support local families, artisans and cottage industries. Indonesia has used bone and horn in its jewelry creations for hundreds of years, and I feel comfortable using it too, as long as I know where it's sourced.
