Elwing, wife of Eärendil the Mariner, cast herself into the sea rather than be captured by invading enemies, but she was saved when the lord of waters changed her into a sea bird.
This necklace, which is inspired by J.R.R. Tolkien's Middle-earth, features delicate chain in natural brass, with a floating brass bird charm fronting a faceted pale blue-green amazonite teardrop. The gemstone shows swirling, cloud-like occlusions. (Due to the nature of natural gemstones, there may be some slight variation from the pendant pictured.)
