What a super fabulous pair of vintage 40s peeptoe platform heels by Vogue Ferncraft, size 7AAAA (I know, very narrow).
These shoes are so very amazing. The color alone is really pretty. At first glance, the shoes look black however, upon closer inspection, they are a really cool purplish-bronze type color with a slight hint of gold trim near the bow at the toe. The shoes are made of leather and there is a 1/2 bow near the open toes. The are platform heels and buckle on the sides.
The measurements are as follows:
Heel to toe on the inside of shoe: 9 3/4"
Ball of foot on inside of shoe: 2 3/4"
Narrow part on the inside of shoe (just past ball of foot): 1 1/2"
Heel: 4 1/4"
These shoes are in good vintage condition. There are some scuffs (on the heel and sides of shoes) in random places and the bow on the left shoe folds upward a little more than the right shoe, probably from storage. The most notable issue with these shoes is the leather on the right shoe at the toe area on the inside is cracked and has broken off in places (you cannot tell this from the outside-it's basically the lining part of the shoe). Also, the foot lining at the toe has lifted on both shoes. Lastly, the heels and soles look good for their age however, will most likely need to be replaced at some point.
