the PULPtart plumage line utilizes a combination of traditional blue patina (for the eye) and a light green patina with gold powder (for the fringes) to create a realistic peacock feather look.
copper sheet cut roughly heartshaped, filed, sanded, given a brushed finish; then patinaed and oxidized by hand and sprayed with varnish to protect the finishes. each earring is topped by handformed oxidized sterling earwires.
a showstopper. at once rich and decadent, yet down to earth.
the copper feather measures approximately 1.85"x2.13". earring hangs just over 3", from the top of the earwire to the tip of the "feather".
note: made to order, please allow up to four days before shipment. due to the organic nature of the patina-ing process there will likely be a slight variation in the design. i will recreate them as faithfully as possible, however.
