What a fabulous vintage 50s day dress by Lee Claire, size medium.
The fabric is made of a smooth lighter weight silk. The dress is black with ivory polka dots. There's a ruffled lace insert that peeks out at the centerfront bust area. There are double breasted faux buttons at centerfront. There's a metal zipper and hook and eye closure at centerback. There's also a small slit at the centerback hem.
The measurements are as follows:
Bust: 38-40"
Waist: 30"
Hips: 40-42"
Length from centerback neck to waist and waist to hem: 14"/26"
Shoulder to shoulder: 16-17"
Sweep: 40-42"
This dress is in good vintage condition. I cannot find any rips, stains, holes or tears. The only thing that I can possible find that may be an issue is the lace insert is attached on each side to the shoulder area with safety pins. This is the way I purchased the dress and I am not sure if the dress originally came this way or not.
