About Me

Loom knit wearables, accessories and items for the home, using cotton and recycled cotton. One of a kind, Colorful, unique and sophisticated.

Lately I have translated my designs in knitwear into beaded art to wear, using seed beads and other finds, woven freestyle or on a bead loom.

Since taking on a full time administrative job, I don't do custom orders anymore, but make whatever I feel like and want to experiment with.

A friend printed something out for me, The Learning Kingdom's Cool Word of the Day for April 9, 1999 (yes, that long ago, and I shortened it a little)

The magician waves the wand and intones "Abracadabra". Something amazing and mysterious happens. This very ancient word has always been associated with mystical powers, and it comes down almost unchanged from it's origin.

Today the word might be used frivolously as a flourish for parlor tricks, but in the past its profound mystical powers were taken very seriously. For many centuries it was worn as a charm, written in an inverted triangle. At the top the whole word appeared, and on each succeeding line the alst letter was removed, until the last line showed only the letter "a". With each letter that disappeared, it was believed that one trouble would disappear.

Each of us is at the pinnacle of being a magician, waving our energized fingers and stating "Abracadabra" and trusting that all that will remain is the letter "a".. a wonderful beginning palce for new beliefs, values and a vitalized tanscendent identity and spirit. Enjoy and "be"

As for me, I need to design and make things to keep my sanity and hope to bring some joy and beauty not found at my day job.
