About Me
STORE INACTIVE UNTIL MARCH 2009.
Many of my pieces come from gifts of nature and its voices - shells, rocks, twigs, feathers, seeds, metal, whatever - things you won't ever find twice. In addition, the creative process itself is what is most important to me - what has been referred to as "the flow of optimal experience" (Csikszentmihalyi, 1990) - the end result is often as much a beautiful surprise to me as you. Through my creative expression I hope to fashionably assist in bringing us back to the natural, more wild world - while giving the wearer something to remind them of this every single day.
I have been creating these enchanted adornments for over a decade. It's the concrete art that fulfills me when my fingers aren't busy fluttering across a keyboard, writing.
Who or what inspires you?
Faerwear is inspired by many things - predominantly nature, modern tribal culture, travel, earth-based spirituality, ancestry and indigenous handicrafts - and yes, of course, faeries, who i do believe have a strong say in what my hands do. Tho I am originally a New Yorker, traveling (of the nomadic sort) also provides me with strong fuel for creativity. I have been traveling for nearly three years now, a slow crawl and meander through the western hemisphere with a more-or-less regular home base in the beautiful city of Portland, Oregon.

What is your favorite food?
raw, organic dark chocolate. kale. flax. maté. maple syrup. queso. hazelnuts. coconuts. mangos. avocados.
