About Me

Nancy Troske is a New York based jewelry artist, trained in classical jewelry making techniques, such as granulation, chainmaking, metalsmithing, and enameling.

Nancy received her BFA in 1973 and continued her jewelry education at the “Jewellery Workshop & Gallery” in NYC under the instruction of Fredricka Kulicke and Joseph English. She taught jewelry making at her home studio until moving to the San Francisco Bay Area in 1979.

Nancy continued her education at the California College of Arts and Crafts and at the Revere Academy of Goldsmithing. At the same time she was head bench jeweler in the repair and custom design department for a well known retail jewelry store in Castro Valley, California. (At that time she was working under the name Nancy Hannigan). She also taught jewelry making at a crafts center in the area.

In 1983, Nancy moved back to New York and now has a studio in Fishkill where she teaches classes and creates her pieces. Color plays a large part in her work and the natural beauty of the Hudson Valley is a constant source of inspiration.
