About Me
STATUS designer, Sarah Jones, sees fashion as an empowering method of self expression and embraces “dressing how you want to feel.” “STATUS” focuses on all the “statuses” of a woman’s day and lifestyle~ and is accordingly versatile. Dressed up or dressed down, the STATUS woman will always feel effortlessly put together and comfortable for every status of her day.Born in Houston, Texas, Sarah Jones has always had a multi-faceted interest in the fashion industry. After graduating high school, Jones moved to Los Angeles, California to earn her Associate of Art degree in Fashion Design at The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising; she then transferred to the University of North Texas to earn her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Fashion Design with a Fashion Merchandising minor and a focus on Business Marketing. Winning second place for Best Collection at UNT’s 2004 Artwear Fashion Show and competition, she also won 1st and 2nd place in the Cotton/Natural Fiber category of the 2004 FGI Career Day Competition and an honorable mention in the cocktail category. Having done custom design for the last few years focusing on cocktail and special occasion, STATUS is newly adding a ready-to-wear dress line to their offerings ranging from casual to semi-formal~ all in interesting, unique silhouettes and textures sure to supply the fashion fix you crave. Based in Dallas, Texas, STATUS is now available at www.statusdesignstudio.com and can be found in stores like Betty Cupcake (Snyder Plaza, Dallas, TX), Inge’s Boutique (Los Colinas), Dean~Kingston (Fort Worth), and many more boutiques across the U.S. STATUS is proudly made locally in the Dallas area, U.S.A.
